Zvezda (Primorye) to repair "Photius Krylov" tug rescue boat

The Far East Plant "Zvezda" shipyard (closed territorial formation of Bolshoi Kamen, Primorsky Krai) will have repaired a tug-rescue boat "Photius Krylov in a shortest possible term, the press service reports citing the company’s authorities.

"Foty Krylov" is a marine complex, capable of performing all kinds of rescue operations, as on ships and in submarines. The vessel was built back in 1989 together with its twin "Nikolai Chiker” in Finland, and after running several tests, this class of ships had been recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. At power capacity 25 thousand hp. they both are able to tow ships with of deadweight up to 25 tons even in heavy seas. The "Photius Krylov's" length is almost 100 m, width - 20 m, depth - 9 m. In a fully autonomous navigation the ship can cover a distance of 20.000 kilometers. The vessel has distillers of sea water, a medical complex and a pressure chamber. The ship has a helipad capable rough weather to take on board the aircraft and evacuate survivors.
