In 2010, "Sovfraht-Sovmortrans" authorities expect further growth due to favorable tendency in recent months, and the trend in several industries. None of the Group companies has yet had shown losses this year. The expected annual EBITDA is said to be at about $33 million.
The "Sovfraht-Sovmortrans" Group has focused on a new strategy in its business. The company after a number of talks with several banks and financial companies, has decided to establish a management company which will undertake the management and rehabilitation of transportation assets of third parties.
As a reminder, in 2008 the Sovfracht - Sovmortrans transported 41.5 million tons of cargo, up 19% a jump over 2007. The bulk of cargo fell largely on oil and oil shipments, transported at the volume of 29 million tones (+22%), making 65% of the total shipment operations in 2008.
Sovfracht JSC is currently transporting inland and seaborne cargo, shipping inward and outward freight. Subsidiaries and associated companies are located in Turkey, Germany, Cyprus, Ukraine and in several Russian cities: St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Astrakhan, Eyske, Kazan, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod and other major transportation centers.
