A multi-task rescue vessel with capacity of 7 MW will be built at the shipyard of "Far Eastern Center of shipbuilding and ship repair” JSC of Primorsk Territory. Such an agreement on cooperation in construction of marine equipment has been signed by Vietsovpetro joint venture and OJSC United Shipbuilding Corporation. The rescue vessel will be built under a contract between the Federal Agency of Sea and River Fleet, and "Far Eastern center of shipbuilding and ship repair” JSC, the regional administration press service reports.
"Far Eastern Center of shipbuilding and ship repair" JSC is a part, as the sub-holding, of "United Shipbuilding Corporation”, established by Russian President’s decree. The establishment of Far Eastern center has significantly strengthened the position of the Far East shipbuilders and ship repairers, gave them a new impetus for development, the regional administration said.
The Shipbuilding and Ship repair Center incorporates the maritime companies "Zvezda", "Dalzavod", 178, 92 and 30 shipyards, a Research Institute "Coast", the shipyard of Khabarovsk, Amur shipyard, as well as North-Eastern Repair Center of Vilyuchinsk, Kamchatka Krai (Territory).
