A patrol of the Sakhalin border guards detained Monday at 1.30 pm (LT) another crab cargo laden ship in the Tatar Strait, the Interfax agency reports citing officials of the Sakhalin Border Control Coast Guard (SBCCG) of FSB. The Cambodia-flagged fishing boat HUJER of Phnom Penh port was seized as it was fishing in the Russian territorial waters.
The patrol found on the boat about 3.5 tones of king crab, 1 ton of blue crab and fishing equipment. The boat’s captain did not have a document proving the crab cargo on board was legal, the agency said.
