CTTP in 2009 agreed to an application for the construction of terminal and warehouse infrastructure in St. Petersburg from 26 investors

The Committee on transport and transit policy of the government of St. Petersburg has endorsed the applications of 26 investors planning to build new terminal facilities and warehouse infrastructure in the city, the office press service reports citing Nicolay Asaul, the head of the Committee speaking at a press conference. The press conference was held to sum up the operation of transport and logistics complex of St. Petersburg for recent eleven months. According to Mr. Asaul despite a drop in freight traffic, the companies are in a bid for implementation of projects on construction of terminal and warehouse infrastructure. Thus, 23 storage facilities covering an area of 281.000 square meters were commissioned in 2009. The warehousing businesses development depends on the economic situation in industry, transport and trade, the official said.
