Tanker "Moscow University" export oil laden leaves Kozmino (Primorye), bounding for Hong Kong

The first tanker laden with export oil has left Kozmino port commissioned Monday. The oil port of Primorsky Territory has become the end point of the pipeline system "Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO), ITAR-TASS reported. Tanker "Moscow University", with a capacity of 100 thousand tons, part of the fleet owned by Sovcomflot Group of companies, is heading to Hong Kong.

During the upcoming Christmas holidays oil ports will work without interrupts  - the next tanker is expected on January 1-2. In January the port plans to ship 900 tons of oil and up to 15 million tons in 2010.

Special marine oil port Kozmino in Primorsky Territory has been designed for receiving oil by rail to the railway station "Gruzovaya” (Cacargo) to be shipped to the oil depot near the village of Kozmino and further to oil storage and loading on tankers to be shipped to consumers.

Throughput of the first stage of the port complex is reportedly 15 million tons of oil a year, expandable to 30 million tons a year; tank farm - 7 vertical steel tank with a floating roof of the unit capacity at 50.000 m3 and two vertical steel tanks, 10.000 m3; pour DWT tankers - from 80 to 150 thousand tons. The first oil shipment for tankers began Dec. 28, 2009.
