Oil price up $1.65, to $73.11 in London, in New York to $74.43 (+1.54)

As of February 1st, the IPE Brent Crude February futures contract rose to $73.11 (+1.65) a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. Light Sweet Crude gained $1.54, to $74.43 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
