Throughput of NNFC up 6.5%, 12.192 TEUs in January 2010

Containers turnover through Novorossiysk Nodal Forwarding Company’s terminal (NNFC JSC) is reported at 12.192 TEUs for January 2010, more than in the same period last year. The company’s terminal has handled 6.184 TEUs of export cargoes and 6.8 TEUs of imports in the reporting period. The proportion in volume numbers of laden and empty containers is 64.1% and 35.9%, respectively. Overall, the NNFC terminal handled 13 vessels, with averagely 938 TEUs a vessel, the National Container Company (NNFC’s manager) press service said.

The 2009 report of NNFC showed 120.735 TEUs, a yea-over-year 3 percent drop.

National Container Company (NCC) is Russia's largest operator of container terminals, leading in the market of stevedoring services. The owners of the NCC in equal shares are the First Quantum and the Transport Group FESCO. The NCC Terminal’s containers turnover in 2009 totaled about 1.2 million TEUs. NCC's portfolio of assets includes First Container Terminal (FCT, St. Petersburg), NNFE Container Terminal (Novorossiysk), container terminal UKRTRANSCONTAINER (Ilyichevsk, Odessa region, Ukraine), Ust-Luga Container Terminal (Leningrad region) and Logistics-Terminal (Shushary, St. Petersburg).
