Throughput at Batumi oil terminal (Georgia) up 28%, 574.700 tons in January

Batumi Oil Terminal (BOT LLC, Georgia) in January boosted its monthly yield to 574.7 thousand tones of crude oil and petroleum products, a 28.4 percent growth over January 2009, RZD-Partner.Ru agency reports, citing the BOT authorities. The company’s official said transshipments of crude oil that surged by 34.5%, to 539.300 tones largely (93.8%) added to the overall volumes in January.

Besides, this January 18.400 tons of LNG (3.3 times over January 2009), 4.800 tons of diesel fuel (a 3.4% rise), 11.200 tons of gasoline (3.2 times down) have passed through the BOT terminal.

Batumi Oil Terminal handled 6.414.100 tons of crude oil and petroleum products in 2009, 10.3% down on 2008.

Since February 2008 the BOT’s owner is the Kazmunaigaz, Kazakhstan national oil and gas company, which has acquired its 100% portfolio of assets, as well as the right to control the Batumi seaport from Greenoak Holdings international investment group.
