Berdyansk port to build up its handling facilities in 2010-2015

Berdyansk Commercial Sea Port (Zaporozhye region, Ukraine) intends to build a container terminal in 2010-2015, "The Transport business" reports citing the Ukraine Cabinet of Ministers’ order dated January 6, 2010. The government has approved a proposal of Ministry of Transport for investments in container project.

Construction of the terminal for transshipment of containers will begin at the berth N10. The construction project approximate cost is at 111.917 million hryvnia, "The Transport business" said.

Berdyansk CSP also has planned for 2010-2015 building a complex for transshipment of freight carried by Ro-Ro ships at berth N11 and a complex for transshipment of bulk cargoes at the berth N11a in 2010-2015. The project cost is estimated at 64.2 million hryvnia.

The state-run company targeted for 2013-2014 building up its grain cargoes terminal (project at 57.981 million hryvnia).

Finally, the port plans to build in 2012-2016 a cargo complex for handling oil and vegetable products of "Azmol" plant that would cost roughly 73.15 million hryvnia.
