Second boarder checkpoint opens in "Marine Facade" (St. Petersburg)

Inter-Ministerial Commission (IMC) on February 2, 2010 accepted the second check point office with accommodated customs and other federal inspection services in the station number N2 of cruise passenger port "Marine Façade" (St. Petersburg), a statement posted on the port’s website.

Inter-ministerial Commission found that the border and customs check point facilities technically equipped and meets all the requirements for border, customs and other forms of control procedures.

The "Marine Facade" passenger seaport in St. Petersburg has being built since 2006 with completion of the construction three phases. The first stage ended up with two berths, cruise terminal with onshore facilities. In September 2008, a first cruise berthed at the port.

The third construction phase is scheduled to be competed this year. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry vessels up to 311 m in length and a draft of 9 m. The length of the new approach channel is 10 km, the projected depth of approach channels and harbor - 11 m. The port will operate on 7 berths, the pier length is 2108 m
