Construction of the coastal part of the starting complex for pipeline gas supplies from the Shtokman field will be carried out by Russian contractors, “NefteGazExpert” reported quoting Andrei Startsev, the department manager for Russian suppliers and contractors of Shtokman Development AG. The statement was made recently at the International Forum of suppliers of oil and gas industry in Arkhangelsk.
The coastal part complex means facilities for gas treatment, condensate stabilization and trunk pipeline. "We also plan that the supply of line pipes for the construction of an offshore pipeline from the gas deposit will be a 50-100% contract by Russian. Overall, 95.000 of pipe (1.100-km in total length) are to be supplied. Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine will be a supplier of a sheet to manufacture pipes”, Andrey Startsev was quoted as saying.
He also noted that Russian contractors will produce half of the templates for underwater mining complex and the topsides of technological self-propelled supply vessel.
