The construction and installation of the 514-km Skovorodino - Kozmino (ESPO-2) pipeline has been carried out by Stroynovatsiya under a contract with Far Eastern Building Directorate February (a Transneft subsidiary). The completion was scheduled before September 15, 2012.
Transneft started the pipeline East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) on December 28th last year. The ESPO was designed to supply oil to the Asia-Pacific region. The trunk pipeline passes through Taishet (Irkutsk region) - Ust-Kut (Irkutsk region) - Lensky (Yakutia) - Aldan (Yakutia) - Skovorodino (Amur region) - the specialized marine oil port Kozmino in Primorsky Territory. So far the oil has been transported from Skovorodino to the port of Kozmino via railroad in rail tankers.
