Makhachkala, the year-round navigable Caspian port of Russia, is located on the west coast of the Caspian Sea in Dagestan Republic. The port transships petroleum, mineral and building commodities, general and timber cargoes. The MCSP transships inbound and outbound cargoes from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Baltic States, as well as transit commodities to Iran, Turkey, Central Asia and back. Makhachkala railway station of the North-Caucasian Railroad serves the port transporting cargoes to the MCSP’s terminal.
