Ukrrechflot reports a $2.4m net loss for 2009, a 8.1% drop

Ukrrechflot Shipping JSC showed its net loss reached 19.531 million hryvnia (some $2.4 million) in 2009, 8.1% down from 2008’s numbers, RZD-Partner.Ru reports citing the UkrRechFlot’s official report. The company’s portfolio of assets increased by 4.8%, to 945.859m hryvnia, fixed assets, by 14.3% to 562.082m hryvnia.

Total accounts receivable increased by 95.6% to hryvnia 152.522 million. The volume of long-term liabilities of the enterprise during the reporting period increased by 4.3 times - up to 15.298 million hryvnia. Current liabilities decreased by 12.8% to 124.662 million hryvnia.

Ukrrechflot Joint Stock Shipping Company was founded in 1992. Today, it is one of the largest transport companies, the national shipper of Ukraine. The company’s portfolio of assets comprises a 200-ship fleet, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Nikolaev, Kherson and Chernihiv river ports and Zaporozhia and Kherson shipbuilding, ship repair yards. The UkrRechFlot’s dry bulkers carry seaborne and river commodities. The company operates on the Mediterranean, the Black, Azov, Baltic and North Seas routes, as well as on the rivers Danube, Southern Bug, Dnieper. Since August 2007 Ukrrechflot Shipping JSC has been included in the Energy Standard Group of companies.
