Pacific International Lines starts China-Long Beach service April 6

Pacific International Lines (PIL) has announced that it will start a weekly China-Long Beach loop called the China-TransPacific (CTP) services from April 6.
The 35-day rotation will be Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Long Beach and back to Hong Kong, deploying five PIL ships in the 1,350-TEU range.
"The launch of the CTP service is part of our continuing strategic progression following the end of our cooperation with "K" Line and Wan Hai in the transpacific market," PIL analyst Ee Pei told American Shipper. "This independent service will enable PIL to be more responsive to changing market conditions and thus better serve the needs of our customers."
