Shanghai's China Container Lines (CSCL) and Taipei's Evergreen Marine will launch a joint intra-Asia service, the China-Philippines-Thailand Express' (CPT) as another sign of growing cross strait co-operation between mainland China and Taiwan.
Deploying three ships in the 2,500-2,800 TEU class, the new CPT service will connect Shanghai, Ningbo, Manila (north and south ports), Laem Chabang, Hong Kong, Shanghai.
China Container Container Lines will provide two ships, the 2,544-TEU CSCL Manzanillo and the and the CSCL LimaIMA while Evergreen will supply the 2,846-TEU Ital Onore.
The CSCL Manzanillo commences the service on March 12 sailing from Shanghai.
