From the beginning of 2010, the company has seen a noticeable upward trend in handled volumes of exported grain.
In particular, Mr. Lopunov says, in January-February the port transshipped 30.400 tons of grain cargoes, 20.440 tons of exports and 9.970 tons of cabotage cargo.
Sergei Lopunov noted that the export grain is currently delivered to the CPV in hopper-cars, and then reloaded directly onto ships. So, the company decided to try other ways of shipping and handling of grain.
The Commercial Port of Vladivostok has reported for January-February a 91% jump in handled volumes from the last year’s figures, up to 1 million 186.4 thousand tons.
