Novorossiysk Transport Conference to focus on grain exports, GLONASS system, etc.

VI International Transport Conference "YugTrans-2010" opens on March 18th. The conference meeting will be held in a hall of "Hope. SPA&Sea Paradise" Hotel, Kabardinka village near Novorossiysk, the Conference press office said. "YugTrans-2010" is the key event for the transport and logistics sector of the Southern region, which will bring together experts as well from Russia as Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Lithuania and Kazakhstan.

Southern region is one of the important components of the transport system of Russia. Strategic for the region are the ports of Azov-Black Sea-Caspian Seas, connected by the Volga-Don waterway. The Forum provides an opportunity to participate in the planning of development of the regional transport complex, said Alexander Davydenko, the head of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport.

The conference agenda includes more than 30 reports. Among the most important topics are transportation of grain, the introduction of the GLONASS, the Global Navigation Satellite System on marine and river transport, development of transport and logistics infrastructure of the Azov-Black Sea and Caspian region, the railroads network, as well as the interaction of state and private business. On the second day of the conference the participants will be visiting at Novorossiysk Grain Terminal.

Forum will be held under patronage of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport, of the Russia’s Ministry of Transport. The Conference Partners are RosTransModernizatsiya, EuroAsian Logistics Association, the Association of Russian Freight Forwarders and the Association GLONASS/GNSS-Forum. The Conference has been organized by ICF-International Conference.
