The innovated STORM, a unique computerized complex, software that allows RMRS to control and monitor the entire process of technical condition of the vessels from their construction to operations.
International conventions, maritime administrations and regulations of the RMRS established the number of tests, procedures to certify any ship before she sets sail. With the STORM it can be carried out very quickly. After inspection of the vessel the system generates the final report, the ship’s data will be instantly sent to the General Directorate of the RMRS. This creates a single database of surveys and a single database of vessels, which will be available to authorized personnel, RS, ship owners and maritime administrations.
The transition from paperwork to a single electronic check-list enables surveyors to obtain a detailed and current information about the object of observation and the amount of the forthcoming examinations, reducing the time spent on reporting.
STORM makes the survey process possible by several specialists of different specializations. STORM allows monitoring the phases of vessels inspection in cases when the process is carried out in different ports and by multiple surveyors.
The priority of the STORM implementation is to assist shipowners across the world, providing the necessary and prompt information.
