Time zones in Kamchatka region and Chukotsky Autonomous District were changed. According to the press service of the Government of Russia, the corresponding decree was signed by the chairman of the supreme executive authority, by Vladimir Putin.
In accordance with the proposal of the Legislative Assembly of Kamchatka, Duma of Chukotka Autonomous District and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian government has decided to start applying it in the territory of the Kamchatka region and the Chukotka Autonomous Disirict the time zone of tenth hours since March 28, 2010 at 2.00 (under the time, valid in Kamchatka region and the Chukotsky Autonomous District).
The Government of the Kamchatka Region and the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous District are required to follow up the necessary activities related to the application on the territory of the Kamchatka region and the Chukotsky Autonomous District of time of the tenth time zone (Moscow time plus 8 hours).
