Stockholders of Ventbunkers have already filed a claim at the General Prosecutor’s Office, National Security Council, the Parliamentary Commission on Security and the Ombudsman of Latvia, to investigate into the involvement of police in the takeover.
Ventbunkers board also reported that Alvis Haze, Janis Haase and Michael Dementiev were not registered to represent Ventbunkers in the Latvia Enterprises Register. Economic Police Department filed a criminal case over allegedly fraud and forgery, the mentioned above persons will not be allowed to be registered again in the Commercial Register.
According DELFI, more than 20% of the shares are owned by Dutch companies, Yelverton Investments BV and Yelverton Investment BV.
Ventspils Mayor Aivars Lembergs owns only one share in Ventbunkers OJSC, 65 shares are in ownership of his children.
Topmar Baltic Investments holds 13.4% stake, 13.33% owned by SIA Kemnet, 9.60% by IAG Industrieanlagen Gmbh, 3.60% - SIA IAG, 1.39% - AS Optima management, and 0.28% are owned by AS Investment Activity.
The Ventbunkers company was founded in 1994. The company operates on the territory of Ventspils Free Port area of 27 hectares. The oil products are delivered through the pipe, stored and then transshipped by railroad onto the tankers at 4 berths.
Ventbunkers assets include facilities for storage of petroleum products, consisting of 26 tanks of a total capacity of 275.000 cubic meters. The Company provides ranged services for cargo clearance and complete information about cargo shipment.
