Internet-based cargo declaration will be soon introduced at the customs post of seaport of Kaliningrad of N. Khazov, the North-West Customs Directorate of the Russian Federal Customs Service statement said.
This month the electronic declaration will be tested at the Baltic customs post.
In addition, Bagrationovsky customs post will be equipped for web-based procedure, and before the end of 2010, all customs offices of the Kaliningrad Regional Customs should be 100-percent ready to receive declarations via the Internet.
Until now, the possibility of Internet-based cargo declaration was limited. The new technology was used for electronic declaration of exported cargoes and goods for domestic consumption.
