Russia’s LPG exporters may quit using the service of the Baltic and Ukraine seaports, experts predict

Russian exporters in the future will likely quit the services provided by terminals handling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the Baltic States and Ukraine, Arthur Minas, Vice-President of Logistics Investment Group Safinat (owner of Maktren-Nafta, the only Russian LPG terminal) told PortNews IAA.

This may happen if LPG terminals are built at Russian seaports. However, this would require govt. investments, as the benefits of Russian marine terminals are largely leveled by a 40-percent lowering tariff on exports at the Ukrainian handling terminals.
