2009’s net profit of the Red Sormovo Plant (Nizhny Novgorod, the Marine Oil&Gas Projects Group) according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) made up 149.249 million rubles, against a $130.025m-ruble loss the company had in 2008, the company statement said.
In nine months of 2009 the company significantly increased its financial performance: net profit of Red Sormovo Plant grew as much as 14.7 times, to 44.564 million rubles. Revenues for January-September 2009 amounted to 2 billion 756.245 million rubles.
Krasnoye (Red) Sormovo Plant (Nizhny Novgorod), is one of the oldest Russian shipbuilders. The plant builds modern tankers and bulk carriers of up to 15.000 deadweight tons. The Plant’s production capacity allows manufacturing structures and components of offshore drilling platforms.
