Tallinna Sadam posts a 2% cutback in net income for 2009

The Board of the Company Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn), comprising Muuga, the southern port of Paldiski, Palyasare and the Old Port, approved the report for the 2009 fiscal year. Net profit of the company, according to unaudited data, reached 407.8m kroon, a 2% drop from a year earlier. Total sales revenues of Tallinna Sadam for the fiscal year were at 1.267b kroon, up 8% from a year earlier, RZD-Partner.Ru reports.

Tallinn is the third largest port of the Baltic Sea next to St. Petersburg and Primorsk. Port of Tallinn consists of 5 ports or so-called port zones: Muuga, Old City Harbour, Paljassaare, Paldiski South and Saaremaa. In 2008 Tallinn Port’s throughput amounted to 29 million 77 thousand tons of inbound and outbound commodities.
