Russia’s foreign trade turnover grew 28.3% in January-September 2006
Russia’s foreign trade turnover grew 28.3% in January-September 2006 to 336.2 billion. This information has been provided by Federal Service of State Statistics (Rosstat) basing on calculations of RF Central Bank, PRIME-TASS reports. Export grew over the reported period by 28.2% to $223.9 billion, import – by 28.4%- to $112.4 billion. Surplus of foreign trade balance grew in January-September 2006 to $111.5 billion against $87.1 billion last year. Turnover of Russia’s trade with major foreign partners grew in January-September by 31.3% to $268.662 billion including Russia’s trade with EC – by 33.1% to $168.538 billion. Turnover of Russia’s trade with CIS countries grew by 25.7% to $46.91 billion; with countries-members of Eurasian Economic Community (EurAzES) – by 30.3% to $24.602 billion; with countries of Common Economic Space (CES) – by 25.2% to $41.699 billion.Export of fuel and energy products grew in January-September 2006 by 35.1 % to $149.324 billion, including oil – by 30.4% to $78.564 billion, gas – by 45.6% to $32.47 billion. Export of cars, equipment and vehicles grew by 27.1% to $11.216 billion; chemical products – by 14.8% to $12.075 billion, timber products – by 12,6% to $7.005 billion. Export of metal and metal goods grew in January-September 2006 by 15.1% to $29.536 billion. Export of ferrous metal and products of ferrous metal fell by 4.4% to $15.66 billion, non-ferrous metal and products of non-ferrous metal grew by 49% to $12.993 billion. Import of cars, equipment and vehicles grew by 49% to $43.749 billion, food stuffs and agricultural goods – by 19.8% to $14.689 billion, chemical products – by 32.3% to $15.283 billion.
