Eight-month throughput of Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port JSC (KCSP) rose by 49,5% from the same period last year, to 2,128,500 tons, the company statement said.
In Jan-Aug. the stevedoring company transshipped 1,600,600 tons of outbound goods, a 51,4-percent surge. The exports include 300.100 tons of petroleum products (+17.4%), 951.600 tons of ferrous metals (+1.8 times), 148.700 tons of coal and coke (+1.59 times). The Jan-Aug. volume of inbound goods handled by KCSP jumped by 44 percent to 527.900 tons.
This August the stevedore transshipped 211,000 tons of cargo, a 46.7-percent rise from last year’s volume. These numbers include 136,100 tons of exports, a 50.8-percent spike, and 74,900 tons of imports (+39,7%).
Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port JSC is a stevedoring company of the regional port complex. The port is a hub for all types of transport and major export-import freight flows passing through the region. In 2009 the stevedore’s throughput amounted to 2,186.100 tons of exports and imports.
