TCSP invests some $175ths to boost its oil terminal throughput

Taganrog Commercial Seaport JSC in the first half of 2010 completed installation of an additional boiler plant at the oil terminal, which will increase by 30% the capacity of the terminal for transshipment of fuel oil during winter navigation. The cost of the work amounted to more than 5.4 million rubles (about $174,800), the stevedoring company press service said. Over the recent 6 months of the year the company running a program for development and renovation of its facilities has spent 10,8 million rubles (some $349,600).

Taganrog Commercial Seaport has reportedly spent over 1.2 million rubles aimed at modernization of the company, including a project to implement a new gas station at the port to replace the outdated one, commissioned irrigation system for coal, thereby reducing the impact of coal dust to the urban areas adjacent to the port.

Besides, 4.2 million rubles were invested for the acquisition of territory, where the company’s real assets are located.

Taganrog Commercial Sea Port OJSC, a member of the Universal Cargo Logistics Holding, is the main stevedoring company operating at Taganrog Port. The company operates on the berths NN 1-5, 7,8. Last year’s freight turnover of the stevedore totaled 1.28 million tons.
