Korea eyes rail links to Japan and China

The South Korean government is reviewing major projects to build underwater tunnels with China and Japan to connect the countries with high-speed railways, according to news reports Tuesday.

The government earlier said it was reviewing the feasibility of three underwater tunnels -- including one between the country's southwestern port city of Mokpo and the southern-most island of Jeju -- as part of its longterm plans for the country's KTX bullet trains.
