ICTSI expands reefer handling in Davao

International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) has taken over operation of new reefer facility in the port of Davao. The new facility covers an area of 270sq m and can handle 144 reefer containers. ICTSI unit Davao Integrated Ports and Stevedoring Corp (DIPSSCOR) will operate the facility. “The Port of Davao needs these new reefers because of the thriving banana trade in Mindanao,” said Manuel de Jesus, ICTSI vice president for business development, and DIPSSCOR general manager. The Philippines is the world’s third largest exporter of bananas.
