OOCL appoints Wilhelmsen Ships Service its agent in Iraq, Jordan and Yemen

OOCL announced today the appointment of Wilhelmsen Ships Service as its new Agent in Iraq, Jordan and Yemen, effective October 1, 2010, OOCL press release said.

Wilhelmsen Ships Service offices are open in Iraq (Basrah and Umm Qasr Port), Amman, Aqaba (Jordan) and Aden (Yemen).

The new Red Sea agency will oversee all of OOCL's liner services in the three countries of Iraq, Jordan, and Yemen along the coast of Red Sea.   

“As the services of OOCL in Intra-Asia area are further diversified, it is necessary for us to appoint more agencies to help us serve our customers in different regions in the area.  The appointment of Wilhelmsen Ships Service will definitely help our customers develop their business between the Upper Gulf and the Red Sea regions and other countries in the South and South West Asia region. OOCL looks forward to the further growth of business in this region,” Mr. S C Chan, the Managing Director of the OOCL's South Asia Group said.
