According to provisional estimates the volume of shipping by Azov-Don Shipping Company (ADS) by year-end may reach 5 million tons, Michael Shvalev ADS CEO said speaking in Moscow at the Russian Transport Week, PortNews reported.
According to an earlier report of PN, the volume of cargo shipped by the company in 2009 was at 4.5 million tons. Mr. Shvalev added that this year-end the cargo handling at the terminals owned by the ADS Group, is expected to increase to 4 million tons versus 3,100m tons a year earlier.
