Russian agency of transport modernization under RF Transport Ministry holds a tender for grounding of investments into construction of a logistics center planned to be built at the approaches to Vostochny port ant the ports of Nakhodka. Six companies compete for the right to invest into new terminal, Vostok-Media reports with reference to Evgeny Novoseltsev, Director General of DNIIMF (Far East Marine Research Institute). New terminal is to take mainly transit cargo flow from 4-5 ports of Nakhodka transport hub.
The winner of the tender will have to provide grounds for project financing from Investment fund of RF. According to some estimations, the project is to cost $200 million. The procedure of the tender for project development and calculation is applied in cases when both private investors and government participate in the project. The results are to be announced on December 1, 2006.
