Cosco levies subcontinent-Mideast US$41/TEU piracy risk fee

COSCO Container Lines has told the trade it will levy an "emergency risk surcharge" on shipments between the Far East and Middle East and the Indian subcontinent, Schednet reports.
The fee to be levied this week is US$41 per TEU between the Far East and Middle East, and $21 per TEU for westbound shipments from the Indian subcontinent to the Far East.
