PTP starts handling crude exports at the port of Primorsk

Primorsky Trade Port LLC (PTP, Leningrad region) began handling crude oil in the sea port of Primorsk at the Berths 8, 9, the stevedore company press release said.

The berths lease contract dated January 1, 2011 has been registered by the regional Federal Service of state registration, inventory and cartography. Primorsky Trade Port LLC has a license to perform activities for handling dangerous goods at sea ports.  

Previously, in December 2010, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS of Russia) granted a motion of the company Primorsky Trade Port on the acquisition of 40.69% of the basic production assets of BaltTransService LLC (Leningrad region). It meant a lease until 2035 of berthing area with two deep water berths and facilities.

Primorsk Trade Port LLC is the largest stevedore operating at the Port of Primorsk located on the Baltic Sea to the northwest of St. Petersburg. Port of Primorsk, the major Russian oil port and the terminus of the Baltic Pipeline System, enabling the bulk of crude oil exports in the North-West of Russia. In 2010 PTP handled 71,7 million tons of export crude oil.
