Beluga Shipping handles successfully huge cargo

Two 63-m long ferries, built in Germany and loaded aboard the MV “Beluga Singapore” in Hamburg, have been transported to Kenya. The two huge ferries “Likoni” and “Kwale” (each can accommodate 1500 passengers) were successfully discharged from the multipurpose heavy-lift freighter in Mombasa, the shipping company’s press release said.

The cargo of several hundred tons was offloaded from the Beluga Singapore in tandem by on-board cranes into Kenyan waters.

Bremen-based Beluga Shipping GmbH is a global leading carrier of project and heavy-lift cargoes. The company currently operates a fleet of 72 ships equipped with cargo handling gear that can lift a combinable load of up to 1400 tons.
