The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS of Russia) on March 3, 2011 found JSC ChernomorTransneft and two other firms - JSC Transneft-Service LLC, Transneft – Terminal had violated Paragraph 1 of Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition,” the agency’s press release said.
According to the antimonopoly agency, the oil companies were in cahoots when they set unfair prices for the services for trans-shipment, loading, discharge of oil in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions. Besides, JSC Chernomortransneft evaded direct contracts for services for handling and loading of crude oil.
Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service had filed a case against "Chernomortransneft", JSC "Transneft-Service" and "Transneft-Terminal” based on the results of a scheduled inspection by the FTS of Chernomortransneft activity during the period from 2007 to 2009.
The group of companies, including JSC Chernomortransneft, JSC Transneft-Service LLC, Transneft-Terminal "violated the order of pricing and unreasonably evaded from the provision of regulated services for handling and loading of crude oil in the period from the second quarter 2008 and the first quarter of 2011,” the FAS statement said.
