As of 8:00am (MT), March 10th, there are 109 cargo ships waiting for icebreaker assistance in the eastern Gulf of Finland, the Port Authority of Big Port St. Petersburg said.
The St. Pb PA reports of total 128 merchant ships currently located in the water area, 11 of them - in motion, 6 vessels await permission to call at the port. Over the past day 4 ships reached the entrance buoy of St Pb port, 13 vessels are westbound from the Gulf area, 4 - arrived at the port of St. Petersburg, 13 - departed.
Seven vessels at the regional ports are subject to ice restrictions, 2 of them - in St. Petersburg, 4 - in Viborg port and 1 - in the port of Ust-Luga.
