Congestion of 137 ships in the Gulf of Finland eastern part

As of 8:00am (MT), March 11th, there are 137 cargo ships waiting for icebreaker assistance in the eastern Gulf of Finland, the Port Authority of Big Port St. Petersburg said.

 

The St. Pb PA reports of total 153 merchant ships currently located in the water area, 13 of them - in motion, 3 vessels await permission to call at the port. Over the past day 3 ships reached the entrance buoy of St Pb port, 1 vessel is westbound from the Gulf area, 7 - arrived at the port of St. Petersburg, 8 - departed.
 

 

Six merchant vessels waiting for icebreaker assistance are subject to ice restrictions, 1 ship is currently at St. Petersburg port, 4 - in Viborg and 1 - in Ust-Luga.
