The carrier said adding Thessaloniki to its Black Sea-Ukraine Service (BSU) would enable direct connection and improved transit times to both regional ports and to ZIM’s global network via its hub in Haifa.
The service's new route will be: Ashdod, Haifa, Limassol, Odessa, Illychevsk, Varna, Kumport, Izmit, Thessaloniki, Izmir, Piraeus, Ashdod
The enhanced service will connect Thessaloniki via ZIM's network to all major trade routes to and from Asia (China, SE Asia and India), the US, Europe and Africa as well as other destinations, creating significant savings in transit time.
The new call also introduces shorter transit times between Thessaloniki and regional ports in the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey, Israel and Cyprus.
