Ice restrictions were removed as of 29 March 2011 for ships on the approach channels to the sea ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga, the Rosmorport’s press office said.
Ice restrictions are lifted for ships with Ice 3 class and for vessels with main engine rated power of at least 2,000hp in the Strait of Berkezund and the approach channel to the port of Primorsk
According to the order of the Port of Ust-Luga Acting Harbormaster ice restrictions are still effective on the approach channel to Big Port St. Petersburg for towed ATBs, for vessels without ice class and for ships with propulsion power rated 2,000hp and below.
