Dedicated pirate prison opens in Somalia

Officials in northern Somalia have opened a new maximum-security prison to hold Somali pirates , Seatrade-asia reports.
The opening yesterday could relieve the burden on other nations affected by piracy that are reluctant to imprison pirates long term. The United Nations, which paid for the $1.5 million  refurbishment of Hargeisa prison, said the facility is equipped to receive international transfers.
