As of 8:00am (MT), March 31st, 128 vessels requested icebreaker assistance in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, the Port Authority of Big Port St. Petersburg said.
The St. Petersburg PA reports of total 155 merchant ships currently located in the water area, 21 of them - in motion.
Over the past day 12 ships have reached the entrance buoy of St Petersburg port, 16 vessels are westbound from the Gulf area, 17 ships arrived at the port of St. Petersburg, 8 - departed.
