Chongqing East Port Container Terminal formally went into operation in the town of Guangyang, Nan’an district on 28 March. It will have a predicted annual throughput of 200,000-250,000 teu. It is among three container terminals on the Yangtze River that the municipality wants to develop.
Nan’an is one of six districts in central Chongqing, situated on the southern bank of the Yangtze.
