St. Petersburg-Stockholm ferry line starts operating

The new ferry line that connects St. Petersburg and Stockholm commences operations today, March 31st, the press office of St.Peter Line (the line operator) reports.

The ceremony will be attended by St. Petersburg Gov. Valentina Matvienko, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vadim Tyulpanov and Vice-Governor of Stockholm.

The St.Peter Line’s Princess Anastasia called at the port of St. Petersburg on March 30. The vessel is scheduled to depart from St. Petersburg twice a week. The cruise ferry will call on weekends at Tallinn port on her way back from Stockholm.

The Princess Anastasia is a passenger ferry will be able to carry 2,353 passengers and 38,000 tons of cargo on board. The ship has 834 accommodations of different classes and the car deck for 580 autos.
