The process of reorganization of the group of companies Seaport St. Petersburg began in 2010 through the merger of three joint stock companies: CJSC First Stevedore Company, CJSC Second Stevedoring Company and CJSC Third Stevedoring Company.
The companies are historically and institutionally linked to each other, are controlled by one shareholder and carry out their activity at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cargo areas of the seaport. The creation of a single operator will improve the manageability of business, will help reduce management and administrative costs, as well as contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of handling services in Big Port St. Petersburg, the Group’s press service said.
Seaport St. Pb now becomes the operator of a specialized vehicle terminal encompassing 5 hectares of annual capacity of 80,000 cars at the 3rd cargo area of Big Port St. Petersburg.
