Four carriers to start new transpacific service

Four carriers have collaborated to launch a new Central China-Long Beach Express (CLX) service from Fuzhou from early April. COSCON Container Lines, Hanjin Shipping, Pacific International Lines (PIL) and Wan Hai Lines will offer five vessels of between 3,600-3,850 teu for the service. Two vessels will be provided by COSCON and one by each of the three other partners. The weekly service will start from Fuzhou tentatively on 4 or 5 April, covering the ports of Ningbo, Shanghai (Waigaoqiao), Yokohama and Long Beach. The Yokohama port call will only commence from the middle of May.
