Russia cut oil exports to non-CIS countries 6.4% year-on-year in January-September 2008 to 152.537 million tonnes (4.081 million barrels per day), the Fuel and Energy Central
Dispatch Directorate said according to Interfax.
Transneft (RTS: TRNF), the national pipeline operator, pumped 140.076 million tonnes of Russian crude to non-CIS countries in the nine months. Exports bypassing Transneft came to 12.461 million tonnes.
In September alone, Transneft carried 14.829 million tonnes of Russian crude to non-CIS countries, while exports bypassing the monopoly totaled 1.386 million tonnes.
Transneft shipments via the port of Novorossiisk came to 32.239 million tonnes in the nine months, including transit, including 3.197 million tonnes in September; shipments via Tuapse - 3.451 million tonnes (382,200 tonnes), via Odesa - 6.06 million tonnes (619,300 tonnes), via
Primorsk - 55.472 million tonnes (6.333 million tonnes) and via Yuzhny - 5.783 million tonnes (490,000 tonnes).
Rosneft (RTS: ROSN) exported 33.945 million tonnes of oil to the non-CIS using Transneft pipelines in the nine months, including 3.997 million tonnes in September; Surgutneftegas (RTS: SNGS) - 23.718 million tonnes (2.13 million tonnes); TNK (RTS: TNKO)-BP Holding - 23.614 million tonnes (2.694 million tonnes); Lukoil (RTS: LKOH) - 21.395 million tonnes (2.02 million tonnes); and Tatneft (RTS: TATN) - 11.848 million tonnes (1.249 million tonnes).
Companies that are not part of vertically integrated oil companies shipped 5.607 million tonnes of oil abroad via Transneft in the nine months, including 682,000 tonnes in September.
Transit of oil from Kazakhstan came to 15.702 million tonnes in the nine months (1.807 million tonnes in September) and transit of Azerbaijani oil to 1.137 million tonnes (160,920 tonnes).
Exports to the CIS fell 8% to 25.346 million tonnes in the nine months. Exports to Belarus and Kazakhstan grew 6.7% to 15.512 million tonnes and 6.4% to 5.251 million tonnes, respectively, but exports to Ukraine fell 43.3% to 4.583 million tonnes.
