Harbormaster of Port of Primorsk lifted ice restriction for calls of vessels with Ice 2 class as of April 19, 2011, the press-service of Primorsk Trade Port reports. Restrictions on ice navigation of vessels with Ice1 class and towed ATBs are still effective, the report said.
Primorsk Trade Port (PTP) is Russia’s premier port of the country’s North-West region for exports of crude oil and petroleum products. Primorsk Oil Terminal is the terminus of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) and main pipelines Kstovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk (North Project) of JSC Transnefteproduct. In 2010, Primorsk Oil Terminal handled 77,540,300 million tons of exports, a 2-percent decline year-over-year.
